About Chris Tyson

Chris Tyson has worked in the industry for almost 20 years starting on the tools before graduating to a project manager and QS for a family run construction business. During this time he gained MSc in Quantity Surveying. His experience to date has ensured he has a practical hands on approach, able to predict potential problems and provide a solution before they happen and yet work accurately with good attention to detail. He has many years’ experience of costing and delivering projects timely and accurately to budget.

What we do

Our aim is to provide accurately priced fully designed civil engineering packages ready to take through to construction and fully support the completion of the groundworks for the project. This involves estimating all costs, commissioning and interpreting a range of surveys of the site and getting full civil engineering designs prepared.

• Estimating costs
• Pre construction groundworks investigations are commissioned including arboricultural, asbestos and topographical surveys, utility scans, phase 1 and 2 ground investigating reports, CBR & Plate tests and UXO and Flood risk assessments dependent on specific needs of the site
• The surveys and reports are interpreted and with the help of Chartered Engineers the most practical cost-effective solutions for the preparation of the site are agreed. A full civil engineering pack is then produced including Foundation, Drainage and External Works drawings and calculations which can be issued to the groundworks contractor.

CWT Consultants then work alongside the groundworks contractor to ensure any unforeseen issues that arise are resolved so the project is not delayed or compromised in any way and delivered on time.
